Saving changes in library and device automatically

Hi.
Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this...

How to make the changes in Calibre books metadata be saved in the library and in the device at the same time and automatically?
I always make the changes, delete the book in the device and then send it to the device again. Is there another way to do it?

I don't think this is a reasonable expectation.

I make changes all the time. My devices are elsewhere.
also
Each device has different connectivity/formats/...

Imagine trying to support all that (confusion)
