![]() ![]() In layman's terms, what is the simplest way to split part of an omnibus into its own separate book? I've already googled and found different (and confusing) ways to do it, and I have no idea which is the best or the easiest to learn so I thought asking here may be the best way forward. I hardly ever mess around with any book metadata unless I have to and usually just accept them as they are, but with omnibuses I've decided that I would really, really prefer to have the book I want to read separated into its own book but have no idea how to do it. (I wasn't sure which would be the right forum for this discussion, so I went to the general forum) |

If you use calibre, ePubSplit plugin is an easy way to split omnibus.

Thanks Terisa, I'll look into it. I have calibre and use it occasionally, though not very proficiently.
And thanks Harry. I thought that the thread might be moved; I just had no idea which forum to start it in after looking around. ETA - Oh my, that was almost breathtakingly easy! I've already downloaded and installed and used epubsplit to break off a book from an omnibus and it was easier and faster than I would've ever expected. So simple, especially compared to some of the convoluted instructions I was finding through google. My problem is solved; thanks! Last edited by sun surfer; 06-09-2014 at 04:35 PM. |
