First Gen Fire Fastboot Issues
I have a pile of Kindle Fire first gens that I am trying to unbrick from demo mode. I had no problem doing the same with with K3, K4, K5s but I can't get the drivers to work for any of these first gens. I'm trying to use Kindle Fire Utility V.0.9.9. but running any of its scripts just leads to a "waiting for device" or "device not found" prompt. I have downloaded the latest Java. I downloaded and installed the Android SDK and followed these instructions https://developer.amazon.com/post/Tx...e-Devices.html. Where I run into problems is that after I add this url "http://kindle-sdk.s3.amazonaws.com/addon.xml" to user defined sites it doesn't update the packages I need. I've tried finding and installing the drivers from other sources but it doesn't seem to be working. I am connecting the device to my pc with a factory fastboot cable but it just shows the Kindle Fire logo for a few seconds at a time continually restarting. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
