.azw3 images will not display fullscreen
I have tried converting the same .docx input file (attached as Doc1.doc) to both .mobi & .azw3 formats using the latest release of Calibre (both attached). Viewing the .mobi on my Kindle, the images resize & rotate so they display fullscreen. This doesn't happen with the .azw3--the image does not rotate or resize, and there is a small cross at the top right of the screen to exit the image. Calibre options are default, as I am not bothered about the format, simply getting the images to display fullscreen; conversion log files attached.
How can I get round this? Thanks. |

This has nothing to do with the conversion and everything to do with thedifferences in the azw3 and mobi viewers on the Kindle. As far as I know, the only way to guarantee an image takes up all available screen scpace in the azw3 format is to put it in an svg wrapper, which you will have to do by hand using the edit book tool. For an example of the svg wrapper, see the epub file here: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/conv...ormatting-demo
