Can't Read AZW3 from My Kindle Content on PC

Hi, I'm trying to add and read a Kindle book I purchased, but I get the following error:

calibre, version 0.9.4
ERROR: Could not open ebook: invalid start byte

Is there anything I should be doing to be able to read this book?

The first thing to do is upgrade calibre. The version you are running is more than 18 months old. Calibre is updated weekly.

Let us know if the error persists after updating.

It could be because the book has DRM. If it does, you need to google Appretice Alf, and see about removing it.
