SD Card Not Recognized on Kindle 1

Hi, Everyone.

The SD Card (Kodak, 2GB) I put in my Kindle is now showing up as 0MB. I tried every kind of formatting I could think of (FAT, FAT32, NTFS) and it won't recognize it. Is there some trick to getting the card back??

Check that the volume name does not have any characters and is not too long. Also, if you have been formatting by right clicking on the drive letter and choosing Format, try formatting from Disk Management instead. You can do this by right clicking on the My Computer icon, choose Manage, look on the left-hand side of the window that opens and click Disk Management, right-click on the volume for your SD card and choose Format. Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll try that next time I get a chance. I've since switched to a different SD card, which seesms to work fine.

Honestly, my takeaway from the experience was not to trust Kodak SD cards. I'm sticking to SanDisk from now on.

The only digital camera that has given me problems was a Kodak. Also, where I work we have Kodak as a vendor and they often mess up our orders. Maybe they have problems all around.
