Request for find cursor action
Is it a possibility, Kovid, to return the cursor and highlight focus to the screen when finding?
My use case is a PDF which does not follow the capitalization of the original. ie William e. Shakespeare. I have come up with a regex that will find them, but I have to click on the screen and highlight it to be able to use a macro to uppercase it. Since I have innumerable of them to do, it would be nice if I could find, apply the macro, find...... |

I'd rather not spend time on this. When I implement native the macro facility it will become redundant.

If this is what I think it is:
![]() (As a PI for the editor ?) Sometimes I use Find: Just for manual Replace or Adds and it would be mice to have some of the added flexibility that The S&R in the Metadata editor has. Find: Leave the target: (tickbox) as the selection; cursor: before, after (the current states is after and selected) The reason for the tick is to guarantee deselection at arrival so you don't overwrite the target: Find: Chapter (I want to append) <space>Fourty-Two Not accidentally wipe out 'Chapter' in the process ![]() |
