Conversion: which file is used?
I use the modify epub (see here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=154371 ) on my epub collection. I will get an epub file and an originale epub file.
Normally I delete the original epub file before I start converting to azw3, but sometimes I forget. Calibre just starts converting a file to azw3, but which one is calibre using? I would love to get a warning or select box when there are more than one formats from a title and you choose to do a conversion. |

conversions always use the original_* version if it is present.

@snoeki If you don't want the ORIGINAL_XXX files period - then there's a tweak to stop them being created - see attachment.
Think about it before to set them to False - what are you going to do if a like-to-like conversion results in a poor quality output. BR |

@BetterRed: that sounds like a perfect solution for my problem because most of the times I don't use single conversion, but the batch conversion option. Thanks so much!
I am aware there is a small change this can give problems for my book, but I only do these conversions in another calibre library, so there is a backup file present if I need one. |
