Renaming files and the Differences feature
It seems from using the "Arrange into folders" option that when you compare to before the bulk rename, the diff doesn't pick up on the rename -- it tells me that 30+ files were deleted and added. It did notice that the images were renamed. This may be intentional, but still...
It stops you from seeing whether any changes were made within the files, if renames act like remove+add. Is there some way you can get them to show up with a message saying it was renamed, while still showing any possible changes to the file? |

IIRC the diff tool tries to detect a rename by comparing file contents and if they are identical it will display the change as a rename. Note that when you arrange into folders, very often links in all the files will have to be changed, so it is unlikely that changes to HTML/CSS/OPF/NCX files are rename only.

...And on closer inspection, all the files have both images and a linkback to the ToC.
![]() Oh, well, at least I learned something new, so that's good. ![]() |
