Movable Bridges in California

I knew California has a few movable bridges. I did not know the state operates 15.

Found a freebie under CalTrans. The movable bridges run by the state of California.

Sorta not the post expected for a book/electronic reader forum. But I will admit, that the link was a pathway to something unexpected and kool. If one is into that sorta thing, which I am big time.

Interesting pictures. But I thought they were talking about being able to move the whole bridge, say over to a different river. Silly me! They mean drawbridges and stuff.

That's the first thing that I thought, too, murg.
Sometimes entire bridges are moved. Quite a number of years ago now, someone purchased the famous London Bridge (yes, the one that we as kids would sing "is falling down"), for example, and rebuilt it across a narrow point of Lake Havasu in Arizona . . . .
