Transfer KFX books with covers over SSH

I am trying to transfer some books in KFX format to my KT5 over SSH, but for some reason, the covers are not displayed properly even though the JPG file is present in the transferred folder.

Is there a way to fix this?

The books were converted to KFX using the KFX Output plugin on Calibre.
My Kindle is running FW 5.16.2.1.1.

If you're talking about cover thumbnails Kindle expects those image files to be located at "/.system/thumbnails" (or something like that, hidden "system" folder part I'm certain about) on Kindle drive (so that would be "/mnt/us/.system/" when using SSH) and to use a certain filename template.
When you transfer books using Calibre's "Send to Device" button Calibre takes care of that, but since you're doing thing manually over SSH you would need to take care of that job.

Also, be sure the PDOC option is enabled in the plugin when converting to KFX.
