keeping track of books on your reader

Hi All,

has anyone seen a plugin or plugboard, or 3rd party util that can do the following: create a custom column etc to keep track of books that are presently on your device (ie loaded onto your Kobo or Sony Reader) so that you do not have to plug your device into the computer to see what you have on it?

Use the Tag(er) 'Luke'

2 steps will be needed:
A) to remove previous tags
B) add new tags

With the device connected (and the jobs at 0)
to add a tag (step B):
Search: ondevice:true
Ctrl-A (mark All)
Bulk metadata edit: Add Tag: <your name choice>
Apply

To remove tags (Step A)
Search: ondevice:false and tags:<tagname to remove>
Ctrl-A (mark All)
Bulk metadata edit: Remove Tags: <your removal name choice>
Apply

The tag name could be by device (if you manage more than 1).
The tag column could be the regular one or a custom one.
The skies the limit in flexibility of methods

Or, you can use Reading List to automatically feed a custom Yes/No column when your device is ejected.
