Moon+ Reader Pro - issues...
What are the best resources for learning how to use Moon+ Reader Pro more effectively? Is there a user guide or support forum.
I was using FBReader for years and really liked it. But with a large library of over 1000+ books the library function FBReader Pro failed miserably-- I suspect it couldn't handle the covers. It was glacially slow. So I switched to Moon+ Reader Pro. It can handle the library fine--fast and smooth. However, I'm finding the interface to be very "clunky" and difficult to use. Examples: - I can't find a fast way to search in a book. In FBReader, while in a book, I just tapped on the screen and the first menu that came up had a search button--so two taps total and I'm searching. In Moon, the only way I can find is to do this: Tap on screen to bring up menu. Click on three dot menu in upper right, then click on "More Operations" and THEN select "search". Multiple steps... it might seem like a minor thing, but for some reason I'm finding this annoying. Is there any way to fix this? - When looking at the library (the list of my books) in "My Shelf" of Moon, it seems to take multiple steps to tag a book as a favorites. In FBReader Pro, right in the list of books there is a star that you can click or unclick to make a book a favorite (or remove it as a favorite) with a single click. But in Moon, I have to do the following: click on the 3-dot menu that is there for each book, then click on "Add of My Favorites", then click again to *confirm* that, yes, I really want to add it as a favorite (and adding a category if desired, and then an "import" screen pops up and I have to click *once again* to confirm that, yes, I really do want to save it as a favorite. But I'm new to Moon. I'm hoping I'm doing it wrong. Is there any way to fix this? |

And if you use calibre companion?
I use it to add books, select my nextg reading, sync reading date and yes mark with calibre. And the when you press read it opens the reading app you want to use. It allows all the calibre metadata, dates, tags, etc. |

Moon is extremely customiswble.
E.g. to go directly to earch. Misc preferences lets you customise what happens with a long tap on a word. Search is an option. That should give you the search effect you want , at the expense of needing to find a different way to highlight or copy |

I just got an update today - I was hoping they would now have a way to show total pages in the book instead of %, but I guess not. Otherwise a great reader!
