Metadata Sources Questions (Fastest, Differences)

Questions:

1. Could anyone help me by ranking the metadata sources? Is there a fastest?

2. What are the major differences between the sources?

3. Is there any way to make the ID default to ISBN? I don't like when books comes up with an Amazon hash.

4. Why can't we enter the ISBN the same way we can alter title and author names in the main window?

1. Fastest probably depends on day of week, phase of the moon and where you are, where I am Goodreads is sometimes as slow as a wet week, Google is often slow, Amazon (US) and B&N are usually quick.

2. Meh, they're all much of a muchness - Goodreads is better for tags

3/4, Copy the ISBN into clipboard, then click that thing to left of the IDs field in Metadata edit (actually its a clipboard) and if its a well formed ISBN it will be put into the IDs.

There's an Extract ISBN (← click) plug-in that will extract it out of a book, its best to use it before downloading metadata.
