Calibre not importing ISBN or Cover Photos

Recently updated to 1.22. Now my Calibre no longer imports ISBN numbers from the Keywords field in PDF files. It also is not importing any other data. The cover pictures are not importing either. Any ideas what is going on? I have "Read metadata from file contents rather than file name" selected in the options. Why isn't it importing the metadata?

Works for me. You may have disabled the pdf metadata reader plugin under preferences->plugins. Or you may have a corrupted PDF file.

Sorry for the delay of reply. It is still not importing any metadata for PDF. I checked the plugins and they are all activated. Any other idea why this is happening? It is importing data for EPUB but not for PDF. It only imports the filename as the title of the book. However, I do have "Read Metadata from file contents rather than file name" already selected. Is there some glitch? This only started after I updated. I tried uninstall and then reinstall, but the problem persists.

Run

ebook-meta --get-cover test.jpg file.pdf

in a terminal and see what happens.
