Um, what's "note preview"? I can't think of anything in a kepub that I would have called "note preview".

I assume this is the footnote preview? If you use a regular epub rather than the kepub version it doesn't have the previews (although most people convert TO kepub to GET the preview). I am also assuming maybe it's because you have long footnotes or something? The one downside to the epub version is that it will take longer to jump to the full footnote list and back again.
The only other thing I can think you might mean is the "Beyond the book" feature (underlined words that pop up extra info). If that's the case go the bottom menu (touch the bottom of the page) and touch the icon that looks like two squares and uncheck the "Show in book" box. |

Yes, I'm talking about the "footnote preview", sorry.
I'm a italian publisher of digital books, and actually I have some interactive fiction' s epub that works bad on Kobo. One of this is a real big hypertext fiction, more or less 5800 single short chapter connected via hyperlink. You never turn the page, but use a link in the story to decide how to the story have to be. The ePub is working fine with a lot or e-readers (like the old cybook gen3), but with Kobo we got problems: the links are very hard to activate (often kobo turn the page instead activate the link), and kobo begin to be real slow if the ePub is big. Finally, after the last firmware, this ePub do not work anymore, kobo show a white page. Converting in kepub it works again, the link are working great and the jumps from one chapter to another are real fast. But Kobo thinks that any jump is a footnote, so it gives a preview for each hyperlink it meet. And in a hypertext fiction you have to use links real often, so follow the story become a nightmare. So, I need to disable the footnote preview, publisher side if I can. But there is not any document about this. If someone has ideas, welcome. f. |

I have seen this with another kepubified Italian book, where I had this problem with links to figures, whereas hyperlinks worked fine. Which firmware version are you referring to, is it the new 3.2? If not, it may be worth waiting to see how your book is dealt with in previews.
Also, how did you kepubify your book? That might also be a cause of the hyperlinks not working (I think). |

Contact Kobo and ask how this should be handled. They have people who routinely help authors (and others) with publishing issues.

In kepub the hyperlinks are good! But each time I use it, I got the "footnote preview" instead simply jump to next chapter. f. |

Have you an address to write to? I tried in past, but the answer from Kobo was, more or less: "sorry we have a support team for consumer, not for publisher"... Fabrizio |

There is also a contact form for Publisher's Operations: http://www.kobo.com/kobopublisheroperations BTW, I found this by scrolling down to the footer of Kobo website and clicking on "Publishers". Last edited by taming; 02-18-2014 at 12:03 PM. |

Uhm, I don't think it is a contact form for Kobo publisher's problems, but for publisher that want to publish with Kobo in future. I'll try anyway... |

It seems to me that you ARE a publisher that wants to publish with kobo in the future. You can't make a workable file right now. I also contacted some Kobo folks I know and they may get back to you.

I mean: my ePub are in Kobo store already and some question in the form are about number of titles for year, or data format I'll use to send metadata. Anyway, I have compiled it anyway, thank you. |
