While the Kobo devices support MOBI, it has problems. I suggest converting them to epub and using that.

I read in some MOBI files in pdf format that you previously converted into html via ABBY ORC and then convert to MOBI

In this format (MOBI), all pictures are automatically in the right size. EPUB, they are on the large size, having trouble reading it in this format (EPUB).

Kobo and .mobi

Hello,

As far as I am aware, Kobo devices are only compatible with .epub files. (.mobi are Kindle files). Try this:

Download the free program Calibre --> import your .mobi book --> convert that book to .epub --> transfer that book to your Kobo.

Good luck

Mobi are Mobiread files, they were adopted by early kindles and the current ones maintain the support for backwards compatibility but they are supported by Kobo as well (if not as robustly as desired):

But back on topic, formatting may well be an issue with the specific eBook you've got rather than a file type issue. Certainly the Mobi and Mobi format PRC files I've got on my Aura HD have both formatting and resizeable text.
