disable unused device interface plugins?

Most likely a stupid noob question (most of my questions are).

Calibre features a lot of enabled device interface plugins.
Would it make sense to disable the ones I do not use?
Or would that make no difference at all to calibre?

It is perfectly possible to disable the unused device interface plugins. However there is normally no need to do so as they only become active when a matching device is detected via USB.

Another consideration is that at a later date you may plugin in a new device type and forget that you disabled the corresponding plugin.

I suspected as much, because I am sure it would have been mentioned otherwise in the quick start guide or on the website. I just wanted to be sure.
