Since this is an international Community....

So since this is an international community, and the Winter Olympics have hit, just wanted to wish all participating Olympic Countries good luck.

But for the Record Canada is going to kick ass and bring home all the Golds.... well one can hope at any rate

Sorry to disappoint you Jack but Aus usually does very well (for us in Winter Sports anyway) and we often do bring home a Gold or two as well

Edit
Do ereaders freeze when you're outdoors in snow and ice? Does the device still work in those conditions?

Well on that note, i wonder if any of the olympians brought their ereaders? Maybe it could be a new olympic sport?

I like the opportunity to see sports like the biathlon that we normally don't get to see. That was inspiring to see a 40 year old win a physically demanding sport like that, even if he wasn't Canadian. :^)

Fair enough, and for the record the Olympics are an inspiring event for all!(regardless of who brings the Gold home!)

I'm not sure that they'd work that well out on the snow!

Well considering its a semi tropical region and the problems are its almost too warm to keep the snow and ice in working condition.... But that aside, what a great way to field test the durability of the readers.... imagine the headlines.... KOBO WINS GOLD AT THE OLYMPICS, KOBO SWEEPS THE OLYMPICS with its Olympic class readers..... you get the idea.

LOL lots of fun to be had.

hah. it was actually because of taking the train down to the London Games and having to carry paperback books along each day that I decided to get my Kobo. Had forgotten that til you mentioned athletes bringing their ereaders.

I did find it interesting that one of the US ice skaters mentioned the books she was reading in an interview right after she competed in the team event. Olympian readers! alright!
