Overseas Kobo Stores

I'm normally based in the UK and shop in British Pounds.

Just been to Singapore and I was, as expected, presented with the Singapore version of the Kobostore with SG $ prices displayed. So far, so good. But when I came to checkout the prices were then changed to the more expensive standard British Pounds ones and my basket was exactly the one I get at home.

Is it possible to buy in the local currency, at local prices, when visiting another country that has its own version of the Kobo store? If so, what was I doing wrong?

To buy in the currency of a particular country, you have to have that country selected in the payment information section of your account. The credit card number doesn't seem to matter. And the fine points of the address doesn't matter either (though taxation is different in various US states). It's the country setting.

Also, I think that you'll find that Kobo Singapore is in USD.

I suggest that when you change countries (and save) that you exit the program and start kobobooks.com afresh.
