Dashiell Hammett's "Holiday"

I'm looking for a short story by Dashiell Hammett named "Holiday" from 1923, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anybody have any idea? I'm getting desperate!

Looks like Holiday is included in this hardcover - Lost Stories. The publisher has it available here. No ebook, AFAIK. [ISBN 9780972589819]

Sounds like an unusual Hammett work. Good luck, and please report back if you find a digital copy. I'd love to read it too.

I stumbled upon that one too! But I thought there may be some specialized websites I don't know about, being new to ebooks. Maybe there just isn't, as you said... A shame, really, I read it maybe 10 years ago and it left a vivid impression, these days I've had an urge to read it again but my copy is in a cardboard box 9,000 km from where I'm now... Guess I'll have to wait till I come back.

If you like old hardboiled pulps, try Munsey's for free public domain titles. Or our own PD Library here - that's where I got my copy of Nightmare Town. :]

You have my sympathies - I *hate* that! Still trying to unearth an old paperback-only title I lost a few moves ago.

But the link Sharphamster posted above (Lost stories) appears to be the only current publication of it. Even online archives like Hathi trust don't appear to have the Magazine volume it was published in (The New Pearsons, 1923).
