Calibre Icon set

First of all , a big thank you to the calibre team /community for bringing out this wonderful piece of software which i cannot imagine living without. The software is really feature exhaustive and works brilliantly when it comes to ebook management but, there is some much needed UI work to be done

The icons used are not homogeneous and thereby makes the look and feel a little unpolished so i decided to commit some changes to the UI asset pool that calibre carries (all the icon psds are available if needed)

Maybe you'd like to post a zipfile with your customizations? Just in case anyone is interested.

That's the great thing about calibre, the ability to customize so much!

Nice work, even if these aren't included in the Master branch Kovid has created a way any user can substitute their own icons. With this in mind it would be great if you could share your icon pack with the rest of us as a zip.

The Mono Icon theme is a set of minimal icons for giving the smooth flattened look to Calibre.

Instructions for usage :

• Download the zip from the attachment section of this post
• Extract it to a folder
• Copy over all the contents of the zip to the Calibre resources directoy
• You will find the resources directory at *\Calibre\resources\images
• NOTE: You may want to backup the existing icons if the icon set doesnt suit your needs

If you want the icons to remain beyond the first update the above directions are not accurate. The proper directory for any user is to drop the icons in the calibre settings resources directory on my system it would be

Calibre Portable\Calibre Settings\resources\images

If the image directory does not exist create it.

The links supplied in the previous posts pointed to a thread that has directions to drop in icons and other sets available.
