Hey All,

It came to my attention today that Joke A Day will be discontinuing Avantgo support by March 1, 2004. They want us to fork over $5 per year to view their site. Are there any other joke and babe websites taht I can parse to my palm? I'll miss Joke A Day but I'm not paying for anything.

There are two joke websites I recommend:

http://www.inhis.com/avantgo.asp - InHis.com Joke of the Day - There's a new joke every day or so. The joke doesn't always get updated daily, but the jokes are pretty good and the price is right!

http://www.caerleon.us/hb/mobile/ - Humor Break - This web site has ten jokes. A new one is added daily every Mon-Fri and the oldest one removed.

Found what appears to be a nice picture of the day site. Only seen today's pic so far so I don't know if its an example of things to come, but today's shot was very nice. The site isn't "PDA friendly" but the beauty of iSilo is it doesn't really have to be!

My settings for this page:
0 length depth
No offsite following
Ignore table formatting
Allow image resizing, max 304 x 400 (Clie with big screen!)

I also took a shot at filters:

Exclusioin: WC *
Inclusion: RE \.jpg

Not sure if there are better ways to set this up, as I have very little knowledge of filters. Goal was to get as much of the extraneous stuff off the download and just get down to the important part (the picture!).

Anyone got any better settings for this page?

Oh and I forgot to mention, Tverberg, great joke site. I added it to my collection to replace that part of the soon to be gone Joke-A-Day.

Whatever http://www.palmjokes.com/DailyJoke.asp is supposed to lead to, it is broken and internally times out and fails. Sigh.

Does anyone else have a list of similar joke or funny/humor sites?

I'd be more than happy to do hourly/daily Plucker builds of these for download (modulo proper copyright and redistribution rights, of course, or I'd make it a dynamic build process to work around that, if enough people would help offset the bandwidth requirements by donating a little).

One of the ones I have here from OpenURLS is the PDA version of JokeCrazy.com's joke site in mobile format.
