Searching future dates

Hi all,

Im interested in limiting the search of date field 2 months into the future such as date:<2013-04-02, is there a specific formula or keyword I can apply to make this more dynamic such as show me all books 2months from the current date rather than hardcoding date in the search.

Many thanks in advance!

From the manual:

Quote:
If the date is ambiguous, the current locale is used for date comparison. For example, in an mm/dd/yyyy locale 2/1/2009 is interpreted as 1 Feb 2009. In a dd/mm/yyyy locale it is interpreted as 2 Jan 2009. Some special date strings are available. The string "today" translates to today’s date, whatever it is. The strings "yesterday" and "thismonth" (or the translated equivalent in the current language) also work. In addition, the string "daysago" (also translated) can be used to compare to a date some number of days ago. For example:
Code:
date:>10daysago
date:<=45daysago

thanks eschwartz - I was not enable to limit it to a date in the future and return all the results prior to the date limit. if I specify a date it works date:<2013-04-01.

I'm confused by your examples, since it is 2014 not 2013.

@diazlaz So in utopia you would write something like

Code:
#my_date:"< (today + 2 months)"
I'm pretty sure that's invalid, and I'm not sure that the template language supports date arithmetic - couldn't see it, but I get lost in that section of the manual so...

Try this:
Code:
date:<-60daysago
It's the formula already given, I am assuming it will take negative numbers as well. Seems a fair assumption.
