Kindle for IPad
Hi. I am new this this group.
I have been using kindle books for some time on various devices. My latest has been to use on a iPad. I have many books and, for the most part, have no issues. One particular book, The MacArthur Study Bible (NASB), my table of contents, footnote links, and study links are ver small and tough to select with the finger. They also do not adjust with the text size adjustment. I called support several times and they have not been able to help me. One person suggested I just use my computer. (I lime being mobile) It did work once before I am guessing that it could ah possibly broke when I upgraded to IOS7. Things I tried: - delete book and redownload. - delete app and redownload. - change font size of book - tried on other non apple devices (works fine) Has anyone ever experienced this with any other book? Thank you for your consideration. |

Learn how to use Calibre's ebook editor, and adjust the sizes of the relevant items in the book. You may need to remove DRM first: Google for "Apprentice Alf" for information on how to do that.

That particular book sounds like it needs a lot of editing of the CSS file. If you don't know about CSS, then it will be outside of your ability to fix, but if you know how it can be fixed. It sounds like they hardcoded in text sizes for certain elements. Some books are more difficult to fix than others. A lot depends on how the book designer used CSS.
As far as a study Bible being difficult to use in a mobile device, yep that is the nature of the beast. Fat fingers don't work like skinny mouse pointers, and many book designers still fail to understand this. Consequently they design their heavily linked books just like they would a web page for navigation on a computer. That doesn't work well on mobile devices. Not much you can do about it except make the text elements bigger. |

If you are using a tablet like the iPad, see if the AcroBible is available for it. Its the best Bible resource for the Kindle Fire HDX 2013.
That item is specially designed for tablets with a web site where notes can be entered and then synchronized with all your tablets. |

Sirmaru's suggestion is probably the best solution for using complex books like a study Bible. Find an app that is really a Bible. No eBooks app will work well with these complex study books, so find a Bible that is actually an app.
