You don't I'm afraid, this device is a dedicated ebook reader, not a tablet computer.

Look in the menu and see if there is a browser or internet listed. If there is that will allow you to get on the internet but it will be really slow/funky to try if yours is like my older unit.
Kindle makes a good reader. The kindle fire is more what you would want for facebook, but there are other tablets that might be better for you than that as well. Sorry Bricorn, you posted as I typed. :-) |

All Kindles have a browser so you can get to Facebook if you wish. As noted, the eink browser is very clunky, also it cannot open a new window.

Hi jerseylady1, welcome to the forums.
Do you mean that you want to connect to Facebook like you would through the internet? If so, then yes there is a built in web browser, but it is not very good. Do you mean that you want to connect to Facebook so that you can post reading quotes and comments from within the books you read? Then the answer is yes. You need to go into the settings and set up Facebook and/or Twitter account information first. You can then quote books directly into Facebook and/or Twitter. Here is the link to Amazon's instructions on how to link your Kindle to Facebook or Twitter. Last edited by jswinden; 01-18-2014 at 12:43 PM. |
