Tell Calibre not to convert PDFs

I have automatic import set up with all formats being converted to EPUB. I would like to be able to tell Calibre not to convert PDFs - just import them as is - is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks

You don't NEED to use the Auto add folder.

Just add PDF's using any of the other methods. (eg Drag and Drop)

Thanks, but it's not quite that easy - my books are mostly on a laptop and my calibre server is running on a WHS server. I guess I could create a separate folder and then use RDP to access the server and drag them across, but I was hoping there was a way that I could have a single process that could do what I want.

Wow! Someone is actually using Autoadd as a remote user solution.

If you untick PDF (format) in the Autoadd configuration, it will simply ignore those file, leaving them for the user to resolve. So there is not even a need for a separate folder.

Thanks, - that's a wee bit simpler. It's too bad that Calibre doesn't have tick boxes for import without conversion.

You seem surprised that I'm using autoadd remotely. The original version of WHS was an incredible product and I have it running on an ACER ASPIRE 340. I run the Calibre web server so I can access books remotely from my Nexus7, Sony PRST-1 IPOD and Iphone 5. I also run a media server, servers that stream audio and video directly to my Apple devices along with several WDTVs that pull media from the WHS and feed it to the TVs. The WHS also backs up all the PCs in the house every night. All in all a pretty useful box. I have 8TB of storage on it and have filled less than half of the space, even with file replication turned on.

I am only surprised because you are the first t mention it being used.

I made a work-around solution suggestion (using autoadd along with the Content server) to some users moaning that Calibre did not permit multi-user. That suggestion was made quite a while back
