Help - can't download first book purchase on Nook ST
Hi everyone,

I bought a Nook ST back in the summer for the bargain price of £30, but up until now have only read books on it that I'd previously purchased elsewhere.

Tonight, I decided to try out the B&N store from the reader. I found it easy to find a book I wanted, pressed "purchase" and received the somewhat mystifying error:

"Unable To Download
MediaDrmPriority list was empty"

Hoping this was just a glitch, I retried the purchase, to be told I had already purchased the book. Indeed, it now shows up in my library on the device. However, I just get the same error if I press the cover to download it.

Any ideas on this one? I deregistered and reset the device and went back through the initial setup again, but still receive this error when trying to download the book.

I've also looked at my account at nook.co.uk on a computer, but although I can see the purchased book there I can't find any way to download it so that I can sideload it with Calibre.

Having now contacted support, it seems that this is a general problem and it is not currently possible to download books from B&N. They suggested trying again in a couple of hours.

In the meantime, you could try to download the book from the website and sideload it to your nook.

How do you do that?

In the "My Books" section I can click on a gear icon on the book cover, but it only gives me "Archive" or "Delete" options. If I click on the book cover itself, it just takes me back to the store page for the book.

Did you try downloading it with the Nook Study software? Or is that only available to those in the U.S.? I find that often B&N books can be downloaded with Nook Study when the regular Nook for PC application is not working.
