Kobo goes back to sleep after a short time
When I wake my Kobo, it goes back to sleep before I finish reading the page. This is a bug I had with an earlier version of the software, and it seems to have come back in my current version (3.0.1)

I read that it is fixed in 3.1.1, but there are no download links for my older hardware Kobo touch (N905B). Does anyone have a link?

Yes, the bug came back in 3.0.0. It has been fixed in 3.1.1, but that was only released for the Glo, Aura and Aura HD. Except for one problem, it is safe to install on the Touch. Some people have found that the PC can't see the USB connection. It is running fine on my N90 Touch. I think that the problem is happening more on the N905C.

If you want to try it, take a copy of all the files on the device. Then install 3.1.1. Only use the "KoboRoot.tgz" file from the firmware package. If the USB connection doesn't work, do a factory reset, get back to 3.0.1 and then restore all the files you copied off.

Seems I am unlucky. USB not only doesn't work, trying it causes the Kobo to reboot itself. I have gone back to the earlier version.

Hope they release the new version for the old hardware, and not leave their oldest customers stranded.

That's unfortunate. Kobo haven't abandoned the Touch. 3.0.1 is only a month old. At the moment, Kobo seem to be releasing separate versions for the Touch and the frontlit readers. I was hoping for a 3.0.2 to fix this and a couple of other problems that are fixed in 3.1.1. But, maybe we will see 3.2.0 for the Touch instead.
