Red face Image links without underline
Does anyone know how to get rid of a blue link line under clickable images on kindle?

Here's my code:

Firstly, you probably want to subclass the anchor tag:

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried subclassing, with no text decoration, but the blue underline remains. I've stripped everything out, all files, down to this code, and the problem is still there:

If you take your html fragment, paste it into a .html file, and
view it in a browser, it seems to work fine.
I would conclude that the problem is with Kindle (and Kindle viewer)
not allowing user stylesheet to override the user-agent settings.

I didn't notice a difference in Sepia mode, and in Night mode a barely noticeable white line is visible under the image that most users will probably mistake for some kind of poorly rendered drop shadow. Did I miss anything else?

BTW, sometimes your quest for the perfect inter-format ebook design reminds me a bit of the quest for the Holy Grail.

Not my quest(s). My clients' quest. Please remember, I pretty much never have the luxury of making books for my own reading pleasure, or my own use. 99.99% of what I do is to please someone else's inner (or very outer) artiste. So, my Grail Quests are rarely my own.
