Cover Image Size

Hi

Anyone have any tips on a good cover image size so my ebooks look their best in Marvin on the ipad.

I bought a Kindle 3 in 1 book and split it into 3 individual books via Calibre then replaced the cover with that shown for each book on Amazon and it now appears in the top left corner on my iPad.

Marvin caches cover images in two sizes. The largest size is 450x675 so it'd be best if your covers are at least as large as that.

Thanks. Calibre (and Google) reports my cover art as 971x1500 but it consistently shows in the top left corner of the cover view in Marvin. Almost exactly 1/4 of the screen.

Obviously not a biggie, but I do like the prominence of the cover art in Marvin.

@taguntumi - You mean in the first page of the book. If yes, then it would depend on how that first page is set up in the EPUB. If the book is in the public domain, please feel free to send it to me at Marvin's support email address and I'll check it out for you.

I have had the same problem with only some of my covers. I had the size set to 314 x 475 for all my covers, but some of them appear as a small image in the top left hand corner.
The only way I found to sort this was to reconvert the epub into another epub in Calibre and that seemed to sort the problem (although a bit inconvenient).
When checking through some others of my epubs, I noticed that when I opened the book in Marvin, the cover art does not appear as the first page (for example it might be the penguin symbol if that is the publisher of the book). And yet the cover art does appear when you view the book as part of a list. I don't know if reconverting the file will sort this as well...
