I've been lurking for awhile and decided it was time to open an account. I guess I'd better introduce myself, since I already asked a question.

I'm more than a bit embarassed about the hipocrasy of being a Kindle user while running a FSF endorsed distro on my computer, but my fear of being judged by others is what has kept me from learning more about eReaders in general and my own in particular.

I have vision issues that make an eInk reader an absolute necessity so I don't beat myself up about it but so much. The Paperwhite was a gift and has not even been jailbroken yet. I'm reasonably thick skinned as long as you are reasonably polite about my foibles.

I am also the parent of a very geeky and quirky homeschooled kindergartener who is learning how to read and is quite the digital native, so it won't be long before he can teach me a thing or two.

My username refers to a character in Madeleine L'Engle's time quartet who I identify with. Time is another one of my interests, but I still don't know much about it.
