Glo Looking to Trade in My Nook

Hello. I just recently picked up reading and am really excited for me. One big feature of an eReader I am looking for is keeping track of my reading statistics. I purchase a Nook 10 days ago, rooted it and am having issues with the Kobo app not loading books (whole other story though). Back on topic, I love the reading statistics of the Kobo and want to have my reading show up there. It looks like my only option now is the Kobo Glo but I have a few questions.

1. Are my reading statistics viewable on the device?
2. Will side loaded books have all features of interacting with people who are reading the same book?

I found a number to Kobo support and just got off the phone with them. By the way, the lady I talked with was friendly and helpful.

1. Yes
2. Sideloaded books show up in reading statistics but inside the Kobo Glo offers no user interaction. Only the app for Android, and I guess iOS provides this user interaction.

I still may want this device as it will keep up with reading statistics which is what I want most out of my eReader.
