Which front lit e-reader with touch screen has the best contrast?

Which front lit e-reader with touch screen has the best contrast? Please, do not post your subjective opinion. I want objective tests where they measure the screens contrast ratio.

It should be the 2013 Kindle Paperwhite since it has the latest e-ink screen (carta compared to the rest still using pearl). I remember someone posting a link at some point showing how black the text and how light the screen was on the latest ereaders and I *think* the PW did come out on top, but I can't find the post nor the link now.....

Besides, its possibly subjective anyway, so it might be worth your while looking at some comparison videos on ebay that compare the lighted readers, just to see what you think yourself.

For example:

Paperwhite (2013) v Kobo Glo
Paperwhite v Kobo Aura
Paperwhite v Kobo Aura
New Kobo Aura vs Kobo Aura HD Comparison
Kobo Glo v Kobo Aura

Thanks, but I'm looking for objective tests where they measure the screens contrast ratio.

Go to the source, eInk:

eInk Carta contrast ratio is 15:1
http://www.eink.com/sell_sheets/carta_spec_sheet.pdf

eInk Pearl contrast ratio is 10:1
http://www.eink.com/sell_sheets/pearl_spec_sheet.pdf

Carta is a 50% improvement over Pearl.

I must admit I don't like the Paperwhite 2 screen. I love my a Paperwhite 1. I think with any device it's important you see them if you can, before purchase.

The Kobo Aura HD is supposed to have the best screen of any eink device, even though technically the Paperwhite 2 should be better.

Totally agree. Objective measurements are useful, but subjective impressions - whether or not you like it - are what matters at the end of the day.

Customizing fonts increases contrast. Kobo is probably best for this, and the Kobo HD is the best of the Kobos.

Exactly, which is why I thought video comparisons would be useful in addition to the factual 'proof'....
