Account issues

Hey,
I created an amazon account on amazon.de (the German site) and bought a kindle there. The kindle is currently in Germany, I'll have it only next week. The kindle was registered with that account (the ".de" one). I unregistered it and migrated the account to amazon.com
The problem is that when I log on my amazon.com account I cant see any devices under the "Manage you kindle" section.
It says : "You dont have any device registered. Buy a Kindle or a free Kindle reading app."

Is it possible to re-register the kindle on amazon.com without physically having?
(I do have it's serial) ?

Unfortunately you can only register a Kindle on the device itself.

Thanks. Will I have any problems because of I migrated the account from the .de to the .com site?

Can I register the kindle with my account on amazon.com while it was purchased on amazon.de?

Amazon's tech says that I will have to move my account back to the German site and only then I will be able to register it..But I don't trust them so much..

I think the techy Wrong. People buy used Kindles all the time Old owner unreg it from their account New owners reg it to their account no problems. Families switch around all the time. From on account to another.
