Nexus 7 (2013) with Android 4.4 (KitKat) & Calibre

I just upgraded my Nexus 7 (2013) to play with Android 4.4 (KitKat). Calibre seems to recognize the device but is stuck discovering it forever. I tried upgrading to Calibre 1.11.

This was previously working with the Nexus 7 (2013) running Android 4.3 when I last tried it so I'm thinking Google changed something with Android 4.4?

Is this a known issue?

I'm sorry, my post won't be helpful, I just would like to know if you sideloaded the update or you got it OTA? I'm still waiting for my N7 to receive KitKat.

As with any new device it is scanning the internal memory for books. Let in run for as long as it takes then right click on the device icon and configure the device to scan only directories you wish.

Personally I prefer to use Calibre Companion app to manage my books on my Nexus7.

Thanks! I just left it connected when I left for work and it came back as you suggested.

I wasn't aware of Calibre Companion. I'll take a look at it .
