Faint text on converting from epub to mobi

Has anyone come across this before? On conversion from one document from epub to mobi I found certain letters to be fainter than others (randomly). There is nothing wrong with my Kindle so I do not know what is causing this: any ideas?

Sounds like some of the fonts may have color attributes. You can remove color during conversion, see attached.
