3G signal difference between Kindles

The 3G signal on my K3 is normally weaker than that of Kindle Touch. Has anyone noticed same thing?

I want to know if there is a difference between the 3G signals between Kindle 3G models.

Well to report back on this:
Ran some tests for myself today and it seems Kindle Touch's signal icon is not really indicative of its strength. They're about same.

The Touch has a newer 3G chip I'm thinking.
