PDF to mobi: getting the formatting correct.

Can anyone help me get the formatting correct so that I can get proper indented paragraphs or paragraph breaks as in the normal text.

I know there are various appearance settings one can chose in the menu but I have not a clue how to chose them.

I have laid out this post in the format that I get on my kindle with converted texts (sometimes in a Word conversion too) which i find very distracting to read.

If anyone can help me convert a document into a more organised and readable format then I would be very greatful

Thanks yes I did see that but what about word documents. How do I get single line spacing and spaced paragraphs rather than the layout above?

Re Word - Use paragraph formatting - avoid tabs and blank lines. If you can, save as DOCX and calibre convert from there.

As you have read PDF, is a bit 'of a hit & miss affair' - its almost always necessary to do some editing.

My starting point is to convert PDF to PRC via Mobicreator, if the PRC is 'reasonably OK' then I calibre convert the PRC to RTF and use Word 2007 to do the editing - where I have an array of macros to fix the common problems. If the PRC is not 'reasonably OK' then I may try other alternatives in no particular order - or I may decide to live with the PDF as it is.

BR

What has Mozilla done to Firefox, it feels like I'm typing on tapioca pudding! Disable flash fixed it
