Hello I found this website while researching ebook readers. I haven't bought one yet and would like to hear some opinions on the best ones. The best people to ask are those who have them already. I don't like to read from the computer screen because of eyestrain but the e-ink looks promising. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi darbyblue and welcome to the Forum. Go to the Which One Should I Buy section in the EBook Forum to compare and contrast. I've had a Sony PRS-505 since January and like it a lot.

Hi! I'm a new member and the happy owner of a Sony 505. As I am a musician I would be interested to know if it would be possible to read music on it.

I posted this book a while back:

Goepp, Phillip H.:SYMPHONIES AND THEIR MEANING Series 3. v1, 20 Feb 2008
A guide to understanding Modern Symphonies
.

Includes:

Berlioz and Liszt; Berlioz, Romeo and Juliet; A Symphony to Dante's Divina Commedia; Symphonic Poems of Liszt; Symphonic Poems of Saint-Saens; Cesar Franck; D'Indy and the Followers of Franck; Debussy and the Innovators; Tschaikowsky; The Neo-Russians; Sibelius; Bohemian Symphonies; The Earlier and Later Bruckner; Hugo Wolff; Mahler; Richard Strauss; Italian Symphonies; Edward Elgar; Symphonies in America.

Note: I have added two files the larger one includes images of musical notes from the symphonies being discussed. This way those of you who can read music can hum along. For those of us who cannot read music I have included a "lite" version.

Yes, as Madam B indicates, if you scan sheet music then you can view it as images.
The drawback will be that a full orchestral score will be very very tiny if reproduced on a 6 inch screen. And if you were following a string quartet, say, with a score on the screen, then the page turns every couple of seconds would be irritating and slow.
But it could work for study purposes.
