Hope this is of help to others.
Certainly new to me, and following on from a helpful link provided in another thread, which gave a US supplier, replacement batteries for Sony3/650 now on Amazon UK - so more life for the classics, as it were !

They are the same as the US source, and come with special tools provided, and an excellent video which is very detailed, and easy to follow, and well within the average DIY fiddler-about .......

Considering the cost of factory refit, very reasonable prices, 350 - £16/650 - £22.
So put it on yer Bookmarks list just in case .........

Since it's at Amazon UK, just go amazon.co.uk and search for "Battery Replacement Kit for Sony PRS-350" (or 650) and you'll find them from NewPower99, which is the same place that always offered them.

Maybe they just recently started selling through Amazon also, because just this morning I bought a replacement battery for my Garmin through Amazon (US) and was surprised to see that it was coming from NewPower99.

Thanks to the OP, I'll replace my newpower99.com bookmark with this one. Although going by the few reviews already on Amazon, I'm not too hopeful of how much of a difference they'll make if and when needed. One of the four star reviews for the 650 battery states "It's only that my reader still is empty in a day, so probably it was not the battery but the reader."
