First two books of Pohl's "Heechee" series?
Baen recently release two bundles of Frederik Pohl books, including books 3, 4, and 5 of the "Heechee" series, but NOT the first two books: "Gateway" and "Beyond the Blue Event Horizon".

Does anyone know if Baen are planning to release these, or if they're available as eBooks from any other publisher?

Baffling. Looks like Gateway is out of print, and its sequel is only available as a TPB right now. The publisher's page has no further info.

Gateway is published by Del Rey in the US. Latest edition on amazon was printed in 2004. Tor/Macmillan just reprinted the second book a couple years ago which might explain if they are unwilling to give up the ebook rights to Baen.

There was a discussion on the Bar about this, and Toni said she doesn't yet have the rights to them, but would like to get them. So for the moment, you're out of luck.

I see that Tor are about to release the Beyond The Blue Event Horizon but I can't see any word about Gateway. Anyone know if this might be coming soon?
