Calibre Companion App Returning "failed to download" error
Some of my books are able to download just fine but some of them return a "book name failed to download" with no other information given. It usually occurs on comic books and PDFs. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I am not able to look at the code until this weekend to see what reasons there might be for this.
In the meantime, calibre web server has logs that might tell you something. You can see them at preferences / sharing over the net. CC also has a debug log that might provide info. You can email us a copy from CC by going to CC's settings and scrolling to the bottom. |

That error happens if none of the extensions that calibre reports for the book are acceptable to CC. An extension is acceptable only if it is in CC's extensions list (CC's settings, book folders and extensions). Make sure that both PDF and CBZ (or whatever format your comic books are in) are checked in CC's settings.
