Yes you can. The books belong to your kobo account, not any particular device.

Yes you can use Kobo.com but the kobo desktop will only disappear if you uninstall it.

Just build a house around you, then the problem will be solved.

But Seriously Folks - [Bodda-Bing]: We have many owners of the Ipad Mini who are quite happy with that reading environment.

Each to his own.

The only drawbacks I see from reading on the iPad mini is the weight of the unit versus the kobo, shorter battery life, and limited memory due to apps and the inability of adding extra memory. But aside from that its pure choice and opinion in how you choose to read. No one has the right to chastise you if you go whole hog on reading on the mini and there are obviously reasons why you wish to do so, one reason I can see is device elimination (one device to rule them all). And that IMHO is convenience that is important to not over look.

Good Luck and Good reading

regards

Jack

I have recently switched from a Kobo HD to an IPad Mini 2 for all my reading (and browsing), and it certainly suits me. I do not use the Kobo app, but side load from Calibre to Marvin. Marvin is probably the best reading app on the IPad, much better than the Kobo app.
