Kindle PW: any reasons to update?
Hi all,

It's my first post but I've been lurking around for some time.

I have a Kindle PW running on the 5.3.5 firmware. It's jailbroken and full of the sweet stuff the good people on this forum develop. Is there any reason for updating the firmware to, say, version 5.3.8? I know the jailbreak still works, and I'd have to to install the rescue pack and certificates again, but... I'm lazy. :P

So, what's your take? Is there any reason to move from firmware 5.3.5?

On the PW, if you go beyond 5.3.4 you lose JBPatch...so I say no.

I'm still on 5.3.6 and I really don't feel like I'm missing any feature.

I'm very tempted to downgrade just to try JBPatch, though.

What he said... except for some reason, I stopped at 5.3.3... once or twice. Once by accident, and once to run some tests... which means I'll probably be stopping a third time, soon.

Is there a good reason to update (upgrade?) to 5.3.4?

JB Patch is awesome. You can reduce the margins, add hyphenation, and if you go to an earlier version, you can change the font size settings. I loved it. I recently reset my PW1 to factory and I miss the margin settings the most.
