I might have to get one....I can use the n2a os that I bought for my KFHD7 on another KF.....I got the voucher JIC. Do I want the 2nd gen for $79 or another KFHD7 for $104? I might go for the cheaper one...we had one before, and it was nice.

The Fire HD 7 at $103 is a great tablet for children; especially when coupled with Kindle FreeTime Unlimited. Also, last year's HD 7 has a webcam and HDMI - features missing from this year's version.

Yes, I think that is what I am going to do. Plus I have gift card balance left from my PW trade in, and Discover card points, so the cash price will be a lot lower for me.

I have one, but I put the n2a OS on it, so I could have wall paper I think I'll let my son decide if he wants to use this stock, or rooted. (He's 13).

Yes.....he might like the black hole lol. I will definitely put a launcher on it, ADW I suppose, as if I recall, Go Launcher doesn't work on it.

It'll be here today...I'll try to smuggle it in past DH & MIL.

Very odd, though, it was in my device lineup, and now it's not.

Snuck it in, set it up....and the name I assigned appeared. It updated, and I sideloaded a few things...no hurry as its supposed to be for my boys' Christmas. I may see if I can gain root w/o losing the kindle interface.
