save to disk gets stuck
I'm using version 1.3 (on win xp). If I indicate that I want to save* books to disk, Calibre remains stuck in "collecting data, please wait ..." Even if I only want to save one book.
Also the following happens. A process called parallel.exe with sub-process ntsd.exe is "active". Both processes have no processor activity and after aborting the adding or even after closing calibre both processes remain to exist. (And if I try it again more of these processes arise and remain) In previous versions of calibre I never tried to save books to disk therefore I would not know if it is just this version or if there is something else wrong. Anyone have an idea? |

The save works OK here, but I'm on Win 7
AFAIK ntsd.exe is the Microsoft symbolic debugger - I would guess it's kicked in because an exception has occurred, parallel.exe is a normal part of calibre - it seems to kick in whenever there's work to be done. Does the parallel.exe run as child of calibre.exe - that's what I see here when I do a save. I see it via Process Explorer - its goes when the save completes BR Last edited by BetterRed; 09-15-2013 at 05:12 PM. |
