Change in Sorting Behavior

In the last two updates of Calibre when you sort a field, blank spaces no
longer sort to either the top or bottom. This was really handy when adding new files to Calibre. Why was it changed?

Which fields?

Not on Windows 64 or Linux:

Not on Series
Not on Last_ modified (date):
Not on Page count (Integer)

On my calibre Windows 64 and calibre portable versions the only field I found that did not sort blanks to the top or bottom was one field that had positive and negative numbers, in this case the blanks sort just below 0 but above the negative numbers. All other fields worked as expected.

To which fields are you referring?

You and I are probably the only ones to use negative numbers

which is why I did not mention those sorting to the edges (we are the real edge cases

)
