What a great price on a great tablet! My 7 yo took over the Nook HD+ 32gb. She loves it! Too big for my taste. But for anyone who wants a big tablet, this one is fantastic.

I picked one up a few weeks ago from the Groupon Goods refurbished deal and have been very satisfied with my purchase. I picked it up primarily for comic books and magazines (I have an eInk reader for novels), but the 1080p screen is also nice for video. I picked up the HDMI adapter on clearance for $20 at Target and am impressed with it's performance as well. The manual states that the native video app uses cinema mode (video on the TV screen and controls on the tablet screen) while other apps will mirror the tablet screen on the TV screen, but from playing with it, Netflix, Vudu, Google Play Movies & TV, and Hulu+ also enter cinema mode (although Hulu+ uses mirroring for the ads, it plays the main program in cinema mode). If you're used to stock Android, it takes a little getting used to, but I'm generally liking the native interface and the screen is nice for comics (Comixology, Dark Horse, etc.), magazines (Nook, Amazon, Google Play, Zinio, etc.), and video. The addition of Google Play is what prompted me to get it.

I bought it to read comics and manga on too, I'll probably stick to my first gen Kindle Fire for books. I'm planning to root mine and use vanilla Android on it, since you can do that from an SD card install. (Amazon's Android fork on the Fire has left me seriously unwilling to try another fork, it sucks so bad...)
I'm going to check out Target when I'm up near one this week, hopefully that one has some discounted accessories too. ![]() |

I'm really wanting the black 360 stand case, but I'm not willing to pay $45 for it... Half what I paid for the tablet... The blue "Groovy" stand case clearanced for $22.50 is a little more reasonable and I'm debating it. For some reason, Target had its original price at $45 (hence the $22.50 50% clearance price) despite that B&N sells it for $40.
Also, B&N is running a sale on a handful of covers for the HD+: $25 until 9/20 http://www.barnesandnoble.com/s?PRO=2129 |

Got a black 360 cover from eBay source for $10 shipped a while back. I'd check there if you are cost conscious.

Thanks... I had not checked Amazon. Overstock.com has a BasAcc knockoff 360 case for about $10 depending on color. It's not that I can't afford $45, but I just think it's ridiculous to spend $45 on a case when the tablet cost me $125 with shipping.
