Pocket in Reading Life for other models
Howdy.

It was widely written that the new Aura will have Pocket integration in Reading Life. Does anyone know if similar functionality will be available in the Glo models?

The next firmware version for the Glo and Aura HD will have Pocket and most of the other features shown on the Aura. The only one I don't think they will have is the two finger light adjustment.

No, Kobo never announce it in advance. My guess is within a few days of the Aura actually being available.

Does anyone think the Touch will get Pocket. I don't have a kobo and would love to try it out with Pocket as I am an existing heavy user and the Touches are currently reduced in WHSmith

how long is the offer on for, do you know? If you have enough time, it may be worth waiting a week to see if it is rolled out to Touch devices - the press release says "all devices", so I'd say this should include the Touch, but you never know. Judging from the latest firmware, 2.8.1 appears not to have been released only for the original Touch (i.e. N905 and N905B Models), so maybe the new ones are safe.

It probably will get Pocket, but it might not be in the next firmware release.

Thanks for the replies. I have no idea how long WHSmiths sale is on for but I'm not buying anything until I know for sure as I read books on a Kindle. I only want a Kobo for Pocket.

I would not count on that date. I certainly would not count on it for the Touch or Mini. I have no doubt they will get it eventually.

As far as the last firmware, 2.8.1, not being pushed to the Touch models, I can vouch that sideloading it onto an N905B works fine... How that affects any future versions I cannot say.
